Book Meme - Day 3
Aug. 12th, 2010 09:32 amDay 03 - The best book you've read in the last 12 months.
Since I got my Kindle I've been re-reading a lot of old favorites, and/or classics since they were free so this question is sort of two parts for me.
The best book I re-read int he last 12 months was 'The STAND', I had forgotten in the fifteen or so years since I had last read it just how must I loved it. How much depth both in story and character there was and how realistic Stephen King managed to make the end of the world and what happens after - including the relationships and governments of the people who survived.
The best book I read for the first time in the last 12 months was a book called 'Faking It' by Elisa Lorello. Admittedly I was trolling Amazon for cheap/free books with salacious titles... and what i got was a novel about self discovery, relationships, writing and basically learning hoe to live instead of faking it. I loved it so much I immediately bought the sequel and read it.
