A Hard Days.. Day
Jan. 4th, 2011 08:20 pmI've gotten about 7 hours of sleep in the last two days and have hit that exhausted but not tired stage which is always so much fun. I could probably handle the lack of sleep if the following hadn't been true of today:
1. I had to drive 100 miles two ways for work, leaving my house at 6AM and returning around 6PM - That's a full eight hour day with two, two hour commutes on either end... I don't even have words for how drained I feel.
2. My friends K and J had their baby last night, five weeks early. She's a healthy baby girl and for that I am thankful and excited of course that the new bb is arrived - but the text came at 2:30AM and woke me out of a dead sleep. K is forgiven if only because she had pushed a being roughly the size of a small watermelon out of her vajayjay not 3 hours prior but I never got back to sleep.
Other tidbits from my day - I got a fortune cookie today that summed up and echoed every end of 2010/beginning of 2011 horoscope I've gotten in the last 10 days or so: Turn your thoughts within - find yourself. I feel like if I believed in signs it might be a sign...
