nozenfordaddyA conversation from earlier today via email with a group of my friends. I think it clearly illustrates how crazy my life usually is.
Original topic: Getting together to make gingerbread houses tomorrow night
(names changed for no good reason, my notes in italics)
Megan: So I’m captain way late on organizing, but I think most everyone had an idea this was coming. Tomorrow night will be gingerbread house night, at my place. Show up any time after 6pm. I’ll have pizza, salad, wine, soda, candy and for anyone that doesn’t have a kit, let me know, I’ll have extra of those too. We can build a neighborhood, or just make fun of Rich, I don’t really care. I’ve just missed you all so much and can’t wait to see all your beautiful faces.
Kate: Yay! We'll be there (she and her husband), but only if you promise not to ambush me and make me wear a Santa suit because of my ginormous belly. (she is very pregnant)
Megan: I hadn’t even considered the possibility, but now I have, and the suit will be on hand. :D
Kate: Only if Rich is Mrs. Claus and Megan is an elf.
Claire: Can I be a reindeer? ;-)
Heather: Can I be a reindog? (I may have enjoyed Becky on Glee a bit too much)
Megan: Yes and yes. And Kelly can be Cindy Lou Who. And I think we’ve got our amazing race entrance video... who globe trots better then the folks from the north pole?
Jamie: Ok now I'm really sad I'll be late to the party! I guess that makes me safely placed into the part of playing the grinch ha-ha :D
Rich: I'll happily play the part of the wife who's husband leaves her to entertain the masses. I have practice. (Sort of why his partner left him, also his partner... eh.)
Kate: Does that make you the drunk and bitter husband from A Star is Born?
That reminds me - we can bring our Amazing Race Wii game!!
Rich: I often been told I resemble a young Kris Kristoferson. (He really doesn't.)
Kate: I was thinking James Mason, but Kris Kristofferson is actually more accurate.
Megan: I don’t know, I was really hoping you (Rich) would wait to pull out the white powdered wig for your stint as an Law and Order UK prosecutor.
OMG that reminds me someone needs to do a Law and Order themed Graham–o-rama... (a local improvised theater show) it could be dedicated to Jerry... (Orbach RIP Dec 28, 2004 - still too soon to talk about it)
Awesome. Christmas would be incomplete without an eyebrow raise from Phil.
Heather: The saddest part… I know I’m the only total geek on this email that saw Law & Order UK and Graham-o-rama and thought: JL should play the Doctor.
Rich: Dweeb.
Megan: Yeah you're a dork.
Heather: Bite me theater hags.
